Candidate Privacy Notice
Last updated: July 29, 2026
You applied to a job posting published through Chasseur de Talents, or your application was entered into it. This notice explains, in plain language, what happens to your information, who is accountable for it, and what you can request at any time.
1. Who handles your application
The employer you applied to decides to collect your information, the purposes of that collection, and the outcome of your application. That employer is accountable to you for it.
Sam7 provides the technical tool. We host and process your information on that employer’s behalf and on its instructions, without using it for our own purposes.
For a request concerning your application, contact the employer first. If you can no longer reach them, write to us and we will help.
2. What we receive
Your resume and its content, your contact details, your cover letter if any, your answers to the questions asked, as well as the notes and status added by the recruiter during the process.
Only send what is relevant to the position. A resume need not mention your date of birth, marital status, origin, health, or include a photograph. If those elements appear in your document, they are kept as-is but are neither solicited nor exploited: photographs are never sent to the automated analysis system, regardless of how they are displayed.
About displaying a photograph. If your resume includes one, it is reproduced as-is, with no modification or processing of any kind. Whether it is shown to the recruiter follows a setting specific to the employer, reflecting the usual hiring practices of the market in which it operates: in some markets display is on by default, in others it is off by default. In every case, the employer alone remains responsible for complying with the employment and non-discrimination laws applicable to it whenever a photograph is visible.
3. AI-assisted analysis
Your resume is read automatically in order to produce, for the recruiter, a structured summary of your background, a score indicating how closely your profile matches the posting, and suggested interview questions.
This score decides nothing. It rejects no application. A recruiter reviews your file and makes the decision alone. You may ask the employer how this tool was used in your case.
Full details of how it works appear in our AI Transparency Notice.
4. How long your information is kept
If you are not selected, the employer may keep your profile in its talent pool in order to contact you about another position. You may request removal of your profile at any time, without having to give a reason.
When the employer’s account is closed, the applications it held are deleted from our systems.
5. What you can request
Consult the information held about you · have an error corrected · request deletion of your application or profile · withdraw a consent · obtain a copy of your information in a reusable format.
Write to the employer, or to us at contact@chasseurdetalents.com. We respond within thirty (30) days. The process is free of charge.
If the response does not satisfy you, you may request a review, then apply to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the competent authority of your place of residence.
6. Security and confidentiality
Your information is encrypted, hosted on infrastructure located in Canada (Google Cloud Platform infrastructure), and strictly partitioned: no other employer using the platform can see your application. Only authorized people at the organization you applied to have access.
Your information is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train an artificial intelligence model.
